Frequently asked questions - Boudoir edition
1) How long does a session last?
Please plan for approximately 4 hours. This time includes having our hair and makeup artist do her thing to get you ready
2) What do I wear?
a) For your session, whatever you would like in your photographs. We recommend bringing 3-4 different outfits. For specific recommendations, please shoot us a message or give us a call
b) Refrain from wearing any tight-fitting clothing the day of your session. The lines from tight clothing, such as bras, are difficult to hide and edit out in post-production. Basically, come ready to plop down on a couch in your comfiest gear and watch a movie.
3) Should I do my hair and makeup?
No. All of our sessions include professionally done hair and makeup
4) Do I have to get naked?
No. While a lot of clients opt for some nude shots, it is absolutely not required. Whatever you are comfortable with.

6) Do we edit our photos?
Yes and no. Our edits aim to show the real you. We will take care of things like blemishes, flyaways, random tags that seem to pop up out of nowhere… stuff like that. What we will not do is alter your body. You’re beautiful the way you are. If there are things that you’d rather not have shown, we will discuss that before your session.

7) How long does it take to receive my photos>
Typically, plan for about two weeks if you’re getting an album or wall art. If you’re only purchasing digital images, plan for 1 week.
8) Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, but please let us know ahead of time. We have specific rules for guests. Make sure the person you bring is there to hype you up and that they are over the age of 18!
9) Are you going to show people my photos?
Only if you have signed a release form. Even then, we will get permission from you for specific photos before we post them or show them to anyone.
10) What if I don’t know how to pose?
Don’t worry. We’ll handle that. We have posing guides and will coach you on how to pose.
11) Where is your studio?
We currently use our home as our studio. We have future plans for a standalone location, but for now, we use our home in the Meridian Ranch subdivision of Falcon, CO.
12) Do you provide the outfits?
We have a very small client closet that you can pick some items from however, we do not typically provide all of the outfits for your session. We can certainly help you select outfits, provide links to vendors, or even purchase them for you. If you’re purchasing new outfits, make sure they will arrive in plenty of time for you to try on and see if they fit.
13) I’m nervous. What can I do to relax?
It is 100% ok to be nervous. Everyone has their own relaxation techniques and they may not work for everyone. Chatting about your session with others, including your photographer, usually helps. Some liquid courage can also help but, please be careful on how much you consume before your session. We provide beverages for you upon arrival and while you’re having your hair and makeup done, we will chat and get to know each other a bit. This usually works. Ask questions! Getting answers to your questions about your session will usually ease a lot of tension.
14) Do you offer any add-ons?
Absolutely! Our most popular add-on is a massage. We have a licensed massage therapist that will come to us for your massage. We are also partnering with local businesses to offer spa treatments, nails, and some other goodies.
15) These sessions aren’t in my budget. Can I do payments?
We understand that these sessions can be out of budget for some people therefore we do offer flexible interest-free payment options.
16) Do you offer any discounts or sales?
We do have some discounts and sales, but they’re very limited. All of our VIP members get special pricing and first access to our sales. Our sales are typically only done on Black Friday and for Valentine’s Day. As veterans, we do offer our military members (including dependents) and first responders a discount.
17) Will you travel for my session?
In short… yes. A lot depends on where you would like us to travel to. If it’s local to Falcon and the Colorado Springs region, there are no additional fees. Please contact us directly if you would like us to travel for your session.
18) I want to try something that I saw elsewhere. Will you do that?
It really depends. We try not to imitate other photographers but, is there’s something you really like that isn’t part of our workflow, we can incorporate it and make some small changes so that we aren’t stealing someone else’s creative thunder.
19) Why should I hire you to do my photos?
We’re always grateful for being considered to take your photos. We offer a custom experience designed to showcase your beauty and make you feel amazing.
